Q. I have mould growing in the grouting between the tiles in my bathroom, how can I remove these stains?

A.  A bleach solution of 1 part bleach to 11 parts water will normally do the trick, ensure you wear rubber gloves and apply using a sponge, rinse with warm water and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.

Alternatively, you can buy a spray on cleaner that contains bleach, such as Cillit Bang Power Cleaner with Bleach, or a specific product for removing mould such as Dettol mould and mildew remover. Spray onto affected area, leave for several minutes, then rinse off and scrub with a sponge if necessary for particularly stubborn stains and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
