A. Throw away any old or out of date food, which are typically the cause of any bad smells. Remove any shelves, racks, or drawers and wash in a sink full of hot soapy water, and wipe the inside of the fridge with a sponge and warm soapy water.
Dry everything with a clean dry towel before replacing the racks and drawers and returning food to your refrigerator, wiping down any jars or containers that might have spills on them. If this does not do the trick, you can also buy products specifically designed for cleaning out refrigerators such as Fridge Gem, which are safe to use, and you may wish to use a fridge deodoriser, such as Croc Odor Fridge Gem, which is placed inside your fridge and neutralises any bad odours as they arise.
